Installing Debian Linux 6.0 Squeeze on Toshiba Libretto 50

Date: January 2012

This is my report on how I failed to install Debian GNU/Linux Linux 6.0 Squeeze on Toshiba Libretto 50.

I Booted from the installer CD-R of Debian Linux ver 6.0.1a (squeeze) on a desktop computer, and then at boot prompt, press F2 key to read a text about the prerequisites for installing system.
The text says that the Debian Linux ver 6.0.1a (squeeze) requires installing system to have at least 44MB of physical RAM.

Toshiba Libretto 50 with 32MB of RAM could not load kernel (vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-686) of Debian Linux 6.0 Squeeze when booting because of insufficent physical memory.
After pressing the Enter key at GRUB2 screen, I received the following error message:

Loading Linux 2.6.32-5-686 ...
error: cannot allocate real mode pages.
Loading initial ramdisk ...
error: you need to load the kernel first.
Press any key to continue...

Booting Debian Linux 6.0 Squeeze on Toshiba Libretto 50 failed.
